Parachute and Seat Survival Kit Technician
Position is located at our Johnstown, PA facility
Martin-Baker America’s Parachute and Seat Survival Kit Technician will primarily be responsible for the comprehensive inspection, advanced repair, precision packing, and repacking of ejection seat survival kits (SSKs) in alignment with stringent technical specifications, engineering drawings, and rigorous regulatory standards. This pivotal role directly impacts the safety and survivability of aircrew personnel, ensuring maximum operational readiness in high-risk environments.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform detailed evaluations, inspections, and repacks of SSK’s and parachutes.
Maintaining meticulous records, reports, and technical documentation aligned with FAA, DoD, and industry standards, government regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
Adhere to Martin-Baker America work instructions, operational procedures, and safety protocols, while leading initiatives to optimize workflows, enhance quality, and reduce turnaround times.
Execute precise testing, troubleshooting, and adjustments to verify that all components operate within defined performance parameters and comply with safety regulations.
Enforce rigorous Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD) prevention programs to safeguard critical life-support equipment, ensuring flawless performance under emergency conditions.

Requirements

Candidates with the following experience are well-suited for this role:
2+ years' experience with Martin Baker Aircraft Company ejection seats.
Military experience with graduation from U.S. Navy/Marine Corps AME/PR "A" school or U.S. Air Force equivalent
